Off the hook (2012)
"Off the hook" which explores Hanlon's own personal connections to the telephone, debating the relevance of her landline and her idiosyncratic reluctance to part with it, wondering if it was a by product of feeling connected to her number, or the resulting exclusion of her name from the phone directory. Trying to answer these questions the public were invited to leave messages on her answering machine, the resulting messages have been used anonymously within the installation.
